Vinitaly and The City: we are waiting for you.
In a few weeks Vinitaly, the famous wine festival which every year makes Verona the world capital of wine, will take place once again.
The event, now in its 53rd edition, will start on April 7, 2019 and will close its doors to visitors after three days, on April 10.
Last year the event attracted 128 thousand visitors from 143 different countries, and foreign buyers have reached 32 thousand units.
The three days of Vinitaly are an excellent opportunity to visit Verona and fall in love with it, better if tasting some good wine, typical of our land.
The history of Vinitaly dates back to 1967, when the Gran Guardia Palace, in Piazza Bra, hosted a new fair called Giornate del Vino Italiano.
In the next 10 years, Vinitaly was then transformed from a city festival into an international fair, allowing foreign companies to take part in the event: that was the beginning of success, confirmed in 1998 with “China Wine” and 5 years later with ” Vinitaly US Tour”in Chicago and San Francisco.
The event has blown over 40 candles in 2006, presenting two new exhibition pavilions and expanding its presence abroad, thanks to “Vinitaly Japan”, the first edition with the Vinitaly brand in India, the third in Russia with San Petersburg and Moscow, and again “Vinitaly US Tour” and “Vinitaly China” in Shanghai.
In 2014, Vinitaly started two more new shows, “Vininternational”, specially dedicated to foreign exhibitors, and “Vinitalybio”, the hall of certified organic wines. Then “Vinitaly International Academy” was born, with the aim of promoting the knowledge of Italian wines all over the world.
In the historic center of Verona, the “Vinitaly and the City” celebration fills the streets with tastings events, concerts, meetings and guided tours. An engaging and unforgettable experience:Aayone who has been in Verona during Vinitaly knows that such experience canot be forgotten.
Our hotel is located a few tens of meters from Piazza Bra, from where the free shuttle buses leave for the Fair every 5 minutes. Here you will find the most convenient location to take part in tasting events, and a unique location in the heart of the city center.
