Verona in November between art and Christmas magic

Verona in November between art and Christmas magic

Verona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000, is getting ready for the warmth, the nuances, and the fairy tale magic of Christmas, between art, tradition and Nuremberg-style markets.
During the Holidays our city is a must see. If you’re letting yourself be seduced by the desire to find it out, here at Hotel Colomba d’Oro we’ll be glad to have you as our guest!

Palazzo della Gran Guardia in Piazza Bra, just a few steps from our hotel, will host from November 16 the exhibition “Giacometti’s time from Chagall to Kandinsky. Masterpieces from the Maeght Foundation” directed by Marco Goldin. This exibition, with about seventy works including sculptures, drawings and paintings by artists who worked in Paris from the First World War to the Sixties, pays homage and tells the life of the Swiss sculptor who is nowadYS among the most quoted on the market.
The exhibition will be open until 5 April 2020, and will display one of the most extraordinary European cultural and artistic adventures with works by artists such as Chagall, Miró, Kandinsky, Derain and Léger.

The fairytale atmosphere that involves all the senses, on the other hand, will make Verona become a “Christmas City”. Piazza dei Signori has been welcoming the beloved Christmas markets for over ten years, bringing the tradition, food, scents, colors, sounds and magic of Christkindlmarkt to the streets of the city. More than eighty exhibitors, every day, will be offering their craft products.
Verona is also the city of love, so you can’t help kissing under the mistletoe!

Hotel Colomba d’Oro is located a few steps from the entrance to the art exhibition and a few minutes walk from Piazza Dante. We are waiting for you!
