Summer Theater Festival: Verona raises the curtain of the Roman Theater
The Roman Theater, the oldest monument in Verona, a few meters from the Ponte Pietra and the Adige River, will turn on the stage lights in mid-July, when the 72nd multidisciplinary edition of the Verona Summer Theater will be inaugurated!
Verona is art, it is magic, it is tourism and love, but it is also a desire to restart, to return to life as soon as possible.
Life in Verona in the summer is the opera and the concerts in the Arena, the scenographies that are reflected in the waters of the river. As the Roman Theater starts again, museums and shows also start with it.
The schedule of performances, which will start on 18 July with Claudio Bisio and Gigio Alberti and end at the end of September, was released after 15 June, the day on which hte Italia Government established the rules and regulations for performing shows. And if it is true that music and art have great power over man, it is also true that the 310 spectators of each evening – in accordance with the current safety provisions – will certainly live an unforgettable experience at the Roman Theater. Going to a theater show, to indulge in the pleasure of music and dance shows in such a magical setting as Verona after difficult months, is a sort of miracle, it is returning to life.
