Arena Opera Festival 2026: the 103rd edition is already on sale, so close the Colomba d’Oro

The 2026 edition of the Opera Festival in the Verona Arena, the 103rd, promises to be one of the richest and most anticipated ever, with six opera productions and three special “extra” nights. For the very first time, the festival will last three full months: from June 12 to September 12, 2026, for a total of 50 nights. The Arena Foundation, even before inaugurating the Arena Opera Festival 2025, has already opened sales for summer 2026, with several new features – all, as always, a stone’s throw from the Colomba d’Oro.
For the first time, a sector reserved for families will be available: for children aged 0 to 14 (this is the first time that children under 4 are admitted) symbolic tickets at the price of 2.50 euros will be for sale, while accompanying adults will enjoy discounted rates. Furthermore, spectators under 30 will have the opportunity to purchase stalls tickets for only 30.00 euros, to experience the great opera and gala evenings at its best.
The Colomba d’Oro, the four-star hotel closest to the Verona Arena, has always been a point of reference for artists, enthusiasts and tourists who want to experience the magic of opera with all the comforts of a 4-star hotel in the centre of Verona.
While the 2025 season is inaugurated by the new Nabucco by Stefano Poda, “La Traviata” by Giuseppe Verdi, the most performed title in the world, will open the 2026 opera season with a double evening on 12 and 13 June 2026, in a new production, which will then also be performed on 20 and 27 June, 5, 9, 16 and 31 July. Only three dates for August: 6, 22 and 29. Finally, 5 and 12 September. The other four operas scheduled will be:
– “Aida”, the queen opera of the Verona Arena, which will be performed in two very different productions: the most recent and unconventional, designed by Stefano Poda, that is the “crystal” one created in 2023 for the centenary of the Festival, which will be on stage, between plays of light and transparency, from June 19 to July 24; and one of the most historic and traditional ones, that is the production imagined by Maestro Franco Zeffirelli, which will be performed from July 30 to September 10. Here are the dates: June 19 and 25; July 2, 10, 19 and 24; July 30; August 9, 15, 23 and 30; September 4 and 10.
– Verdi’s “Nabucco”, in the new visionary and experimental production by Stefano Poda created for the 2025 festival, which will return for ten performances between June 26 and September 9: July 4, 12, 18 and 23; August 1, 8, 20 and 28.
– “La Bohème” curated by Alfonso Signorini for the 2024 Festival, will once again be the protagonist for four evenings in July: July 3, 11, 17 and 25.
– Finally, the centenary of Giacomo Puccini’s “Turandot” will be celebrated with six spectacular nights with Zeffirelli’s production and the costumes created by the Academy Award-winning designer Emi Wada: August 7, 14, 21 and 27 and September 3 and 11.
In addition, the Arena di Verona Foundation will also offer some special evenings outside of opera in 2026:
– On July 21, the Verpna Arena will host the show by Roberto Bolle and Friends, one of the most anticipated ballet events of the year;
– On August 13, the Verona Arena, thanks to Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, will host an explosion of symphonic-choral power;
– On August 19, Viva Vivaldi, an immersive experience between music and technology, with three-dimensional projections created by Balich Wonder Studio and the participation of the Orchestra della Fondazione Arena, which will perform the most beloved masterpiece of Baroque music, “The Four Seasons” by Antonio Vivaldi.
The 103rd Arena Opera Festival 2026 is an opportunity to attend great shows in the Arena and to live an experience that is intertwined with the history and beauty of the City. Because it is not just about being spectators, but about being part of an artwork lasting over time. We await you in the luxury rooms of the Colomba d’Oro.
